Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us, and we're committed to protecting it

Last Updated: January 15, 2025

At erionovira, we understand that managing event budgets means trusting us with information that matters. This isn't just a legal document—it's our commitment to you about how we handle your data.

We've written this policy in plain language because transparency shouldn't require a law degree. If something's unclear, reach out. We'd rather answer your questions than hide behind legal terminology.

Information We Collect

When you use erionovira's event budget planning services, we collect information that helps us provide a better experience. Here's what that actually means in practice.

Account Information

When you create an account, we ask for your name, email address, and a password. If you're using erionovira for business purposes, we might also collect your company name and role. This helps us tailor the platform to your needs and send relevant updates about your events.

Event and Budget Data

The heart of our service involves the budget information you enter—event names, vendor details, cost estimates, payment schedules. We store this so you can access it across devices and collaborate with team members. Your budget data stays yours. We don't sell it or use it to train algorithms for other companies.

Usage Information

Like most online services, we collect data about how you interact with erionovira. Which features you use most, how long you spend planning, what device you're on. This helps us understand what's working and what needs improvement. If everyone's struggling with a particular feature, that's useful feedback for our development team.

Technical Data: We automatically collect IP addresses, browser types, and device information. This helps us maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the platform works properly across different setups.

How We Use Your Information

We're not in the business of data collection for its own sake. Everything we gather serves specific purposes that benefit your experience with erionovira.

Service Delivery: Your information allows us to provide the core budget planning features—storing your events, calculating totals, generating reports, and syncing across devices.

Platform Improvement: We analyze usage patterns to identify what's confusing, what's popular, and where we can add value. If most users are manually calculating something, maybe we should automate it.

Communication: We'll send you updates about your account, respond to support requests, and occasionally share feature announcements. We keep these focused—nobody needs daily emails about budget planning.

Security and Fraud Prevention: Monitoring for unusual activity helps us protect your account from unauthorized access and keep the platform secure for everyone.

We don't use your event budget details for advertising purposes. Your wedding budget won't trigger ads for wedding services, and your conference spending won't be shared with vendors.

Sharing and Disclosure

We're selective about who sees your information. Here's the complete picture of when and why we might share data.

Service Providers

erionovira works with third-party companies that help us operate the platform—hosting providers, payment processors, email services. These partners only access the specific information needed to perform their function, and they're contractually required to protect it. We vet our service providers carefully because your trust extends to them.

Legal Requirements

Canadian law sometimes requires us to disclose information. If we receive a valid legal request from authorities, we'll comply—but only after verifying the request's legitimacy. Where legally permitted, we'll notify you before disclosing your information.

Situation What We Share Why
Payment Processing Billing information, transaction details To process your subscription payments securely
Cloud Hosting Account and event data To store and retrieve your budget information
Email Services Email address, account notifications To send account updates and support responses
Analytics Anonymized usage patterns To understand how features are used and improve UX

Business Transfers

If erionovira is acquired or merges with another company, your information would transfer as part of that transaction. We'd notify you beforehand and explain any changes to how your data is handled. You'd have the option to delete your account if you're uncomfortable with the new arrangement.

We don't sell user data to advertisers or data brokers. That's not our business model, and it never will be.

Your Rights Under Canadian Privacy Law

Canada's privacy legislation gives you substantial control over your personal information. Here's what you can do and how to exercise these rights with erionovira.

Access Your Information

You can request a copy of all personal information we hold about you. We'll provide this in a readable format within 30 days. Most of your data is already accessible through your account dashboard, but if you want a comprehensive export, just ask.

Correct Inaccurate Data

Found outdated information in your profile? You can update most details directly in your account settings. For data you can't change yourself, contact our support team and we'll make the corrections promptly.

Delete Your Account

You can delete your erionovira account at any time. This removes your personal information and event data from our active systems. Some information may remain in backup systems for up to 90 days for technical reasons, then it's permanently erased. Financial records related to transactions are retained for seven years to comply with Canadian tax requirements.

Right to Withdraw Consent: If you've given us permission to use your information in specific ways—like receiving marketing emails—you can withdraw that consent whenever you want. Your access to erionovira's core services won't be affected.

Data Portability

Want to take your event budget data to another platform? We provide export functionality that gives you your information in common formats. You should be able to move your data without starting from scratch elsewhere.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at help@erionovira.world with your request. We'll verify your identity to protect your account, then process your request within the timeframes required by Canadian privacy law.

Security Measures

Protecting your information isn't just about meeting minimum requirements—it's fundamental to earning your trust. Here's how we approach security at erionovira.

  • All data transmission uses TLS encryption, the same standard banks use for online transactions
  • Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms, meaning even our team can't see your actual password
  • Our hosting infrastructure includes firewalls, intrusion detection, and regular security audits
  • Access to user data is restricted to essential team members who need it for support or development
  • We monitor for suspicious activity and have protocols for responding to potential breaches
  • Regular backups ensure your data can be recovered if technical issues occur

No system is completely immune to security risks. If we experience a breach affecting your information, we'll notify you promptly and explain what happened, what data was involved, and what steps we're taking. Canadian privacy law requires this, but we'd do it anyway—you deserve to know.

Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as necessary. Here's what that means in practice.

Active Accounts

While your account is active, we maintain your profile information and event budget data. This seems obvious, but it's worth stating—the service works because we're storing this information for you.

Inactive Accounts

If you stop using erionovira but don't delete your account, we'll retain your data for 24 months. After that, we'll send a reminder asking if you want to keep the account. No response means we'll delete everything except what we're legally required to retain.

Deleted Accounts

When you delete your account, most data is removed immediately from our active systems. Backups containing your information are purged within 90 days. Financial transaction records are kept for seven years as required by the Canada Revenue Agency—this applies to billing information, not your event budget details.

Aggregated Analytics

We may retain anonymized, aggregated data indefinitely for analyzing platform trends. This data can't be traced back to individual users—it's statistical information about overall usage patterns.

Cookies and Tracking

erionovira uses cookies to make the platform work properly and improve your experience. Let's break down what we're actually doing.

Essential Cookies

These keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and maintain security. Without them, the platform wouldn't function. You can't disable these and still use erionovira effectively—they're fundamental to the service.

Analytics Cookies

We use these to understand how people navigate the platform, which features are popular, and where users encounter problems. The data is anonymized and helps us make informed decisions about improvements. You can opt out of analytics cookies in your account settings.

We don't use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. erionovira doesn't participate in cross-site tracking or ad networks that follow users around the internet.

Changes to This Policy

Privacy practices evolve as services change and laws develop. When we update this policy, we'll notify you through email and a prominent notice on the platform. Significant changes—especially those affecting how we use your information—will include a summary of what's different and why.

We'll give you at least 30 days notice before implementing changes that materially affect your privacy. This gives you time to review the updates and decide whether you're comfortable continuing with erionovira under the new terms.

Previous versions of this policy are archived and available upon request. If you want to see what changed over time, we're happy to provide that history.

Children's Privacy

erionovira is not intended for users under 16 years old. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If we discover that we've inadvertently gathered data from someone under 16, we'll delete it immediately.

If you're a parent or guardian who believes your child has provided information to erionovira, please contact us right away so we can remove it from our systems.

Third-Party Links

erionovira may include links to external websites or services—vendor sites, payment processors, or resources related to event planning. We're not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. When you leave erionovira, you're subject to whatever privacy policy applies to that site.

We try to partner with reputable services, but you should review their privacy policies independently. Your trust in erionovira doesn't automatically extend to external sites we link to.

Questions and Concerns

Privacy policies raise questions. That's normal—this stuff can be complicated even when we try to write clearly. If something in this policy is confusing, if you're concerned about how we're handling your information, or if you just want to understand something better, reach out.

We genuinely want to address your privacy concerns. Feedback about this policy helps us communicate more clearly with everyone who uses erionovira.
